Many thanks for the link. Damn I hated it, I thought my eyes get worser and worser ;-)
Some text from the article:
" I hope you like the change" says Peter Gurevich, one of the many program managers on the IE team.
Q1: Why is IE7 making this change?
A1: To improve the readability of text on the internet.

Rene: Hehehe , I hated it. Is it much better on an LCD monitor then? On my Iiyama Vision Master Pro 450, it wasn't readable, so I turned it off!

hi nicolo,
Thanks for the links, I wil give them a try. I got another question, at home I tried IE7. When I compare IE7 to FF2.0 (or earlier) and IE6 it seems that all website fonts in IE7 look different. It seems a bit vague, wooly, I don't know how to describe it. Compare your own site in IE7 and in FF2.0. Do you see it to? Or is it something at my IE7 version options, or something.

Hi Rene,
personally I've tried these methods for having IE 7 running side by side with old versions of IE. It has some bugs, but I have to say it does the job.
http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE
http://tredosoft.com/IE7_standalone

By default IE 7 overwrites previous installations (eg. IE 6), that's Microsoft policy. They also made IE7 a critical download for all Win users. As far I as know all possible solutions are in some way a workaround to this problem.
If you manage to find any better solution please post it back here!

Good article.
I have to say that I am also happy with FF2.0.
I didn't try IE7 yet, because I don't know if there is a way to install IE7 next to IE6. As a webdeveloper you want to be able to use more versions next to eachother.
On the internet I see all kinds of workarounds to install IE7 next to IE6, but I don't want a workaround, I want to be able to use them both without a workaround.
Anyone?
